Here’s how you can score a free burger today

Today is International Burger day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by chomping down on a free one.

If you’re in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, you can hit up Neil Perry’s Burger Project for a free burger between 11am and 12pm.

They’re handing out 500 in total, which works out to around 50 freebies per store, so be quick to bag one.

Canberrans can enjoy one of 150 free Caribbean-style, burgers being given away at Bad Betti’s in Kingston from 12pm.

Meanwhile if you’re a Maccas fan, you’re in luck, as they’re giving away 250,000 Quarter Pounders across Australia in honour of the day.

To redeem, you’ll need to download their ‘MyMacca’s’ app and the freebie should appear in the ‘my rewards’ section.

As usual, it’s limited to one per person, so you won’t be able to send your mate down for an office Maccas run.

It will also pay to check in with your local favourite, as a number of burger places will be doing special deals.

You’ll be able to score $5 cheeseburgers from 61 different outlets across Australia thanks to a collaboration with The Burger Collective’s app.

Just download the app and use their search to find restaurants honouring the deal. They include That Burger Joint, in St Kilda, Melbourne, Burger Head in Penrith, Sydney, and MooFree Burgers Maroochydore, Queensland.
