Here's how to crack into KFC's 'secret menu'
If you’re still ordering KFC the old-fashioned way then you’re definitely missing out.
Instead of heading into store to glance at the menu, the KFC app is actually where it’s at.
Fans of the takeaway giant have discovered a ‘secret menu’ which will include 11 never-before-seen products released one after another throughout the course of the year.
Eagle-eyed customers have already found the Slide Burger, Zinger Chipster and Beese Churger through the app.
And as of this week, another item has been added, the Kentucky Snack Pack.
This is one for those of you who love a little spice. Featuring chips, KFC’s famous Popcorn Chicken, all drizzled with fiery supercharged sauce.
People have understandably been losing it online over the secret menu.
How to crack it
If you haven’t yet worked out how to access the secret menu, there are clues hidden in the KFC app, comments on the Facebook page, KFC email newsletters and online.
An automated message on the website reveals a little more:
“This gift to the world, it’s time to bestow, solve my riddle to discover where to go, find the place in the App where the food is on show, my secret you’ll find when the Colonel says hello but make sure you keep it on the down low.”
You won’t be able to find any of the secret items without the app, so you’ll need to download that, choose your nearest store and tap ‘order’.
The trick is to drag the screen down when the menu appears. That way you find cartoon Colonel Sanders. Hold the screen for 11 seconds and you’ll see the secret menu pop up.
More to come
“Like The Colonel, we want to keep the rest of the items a secret, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled with new items are added every month so stay tuned,” KFC Australia’s chief marketing officer Kristi Woolrych said.
The KFC Secret Menu will be available at all participating stores Australia-wide for the remainder of 2019.
