Whether you're vaccinated against COVID-19 or not, having a good, quality mask at the ready is an important way to protect yourself against the virus. That's especially true as the Omicron variant continues to spread rapidly across the country. But quality masks are difficult to find, and it can be hard to know if a company's claims actually pan out in reality.

Well, here's information you definitely want to take note of: A KN95 mask that's been tested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) is on sale at Amazon. Right now, you can get a 20-pack of the Hotodeal KN95 masks for $39.

And if you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And even those without Prime get free shipping on orders of $25 or more).

Not familiar with KN95 masks? They're the Chinese equivalent of N95 masks. And, given that N95 masks are hard to find, KN95 masks have been in high demand.

Hotodeal's bestselling masks are manufactured by Chengde Technology, which have been tested by the NPPTL. Based on the findings, these masks block out at least 95 percent of airborne particles, with some tests showing they're capable of blocking up to 99.5 percent of particles.

These KN95 masks are made of five layers — two non-woven outer layers, two melt-blown inner filters and a non-woven middle layer to absorb moisture. They also have an adjustable metal nose bridge and elastic ear loops for that just-right fit.

Hotodeal masks are Amazon bestsellers with more than 16,000 perfect reviews. "These masks proved to be better than I expected," a five-star fan said. "The masks fit snug to the face and the nose piece bends well. Very comfortable to wear and it doesn't rub. I was very happy with them so decided to order some more."

"The masks fit very nicely on my face, and the almost duck-like design provides an air cushion between the mask and my nose and lips so I don't feel like I'm suffocating," a fellow fan said. "The masks have an adjustable nose clip to help you get a better fit on your face. With each breath I notice that the mask almost inflates and deflates which leads me to believe that the air is ACTUALLY being filtered and that there are no gaps or holes in the mask. Just recently I wore the mask for almost six hours straight and felt very comfortable."

Glasses wearers also swear by these masks. "The way this is curved at the nose to chin, it doesn't allow air to go through and fog glasses which is great," a satisfied customer said.

Good masks don't tend to stay in stock for long, so buy these while you still can!
