'Badass doctor' trolled for being 'too pretty' hits back
A doctor from the US has hit back after being trolled for sharing her accomplishments as a "pretty woman and badass doctor".
Doctor Medina Culver uses her Instagram account to talk about her profession, in the hopes she'll inspire other women.
Dr Culver also shares moments from other areas of her life including days by the pool and time spent with her husband.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a reel of herself captioned: "Pretty women can be more than pretty faces....we can also be badass doctors."

In the video text appears on screen that reads: "When someone tells me you're too pretty to be a real doctor... Well thank you... pretty ambitious.
"Pretty hard-working and pretty determined to achieve my dreams."
In another post she shared a side-by-side of herself in her scrubs and a bikini and wrote: "Remember that article that was posted about women not being professional or able to do their jobs as physicians because they listed photos in a bikini....yeah me neither."
She added: "Proud to be a female physician more than ever these days!"
One follower enthusiastically agreed with Dr Culver, writing: "I so agree! A female friend commented to me the other day how in my profession (law), I better watch what photos I post since it could hurt my image... yet she drools when our male friends go shirtless."
Dr Culver also shared how she'd been trolled for not taking her husband's last name.
"Since I starting posting reels about women empowerment and the comments that people make to women to make them feel less than," she said.
She then shared some of the comments that included things like: "Women should be their husband's property", "what a waste of time you are", "you're arrogant" and "you're old and not pretty."
Then she shared some more positive thoughts such as: "Women are here to stay and to lead, we are keeping our now last names and our significant others are ok with it” and “we are partners, leaders and we are gorgeous AND smart."
One follower wrote: "Don't stop! You’re a great role model: as a woman, as a physician, as a human."
Another said: "Thank you for being strong!"
"I think you’re fab! I’m glad I found you on here! Keep boosting us up!!" someone else wrote.
However, some were still not fans with one user writing: "Is this literally all she posts are conceited TikToks of her making cutsie faces at the camera and pointing at her life accomplishments lol."
Another said, "Don’t you think it’s ok to be proud AND humble?"
