A well-priced brush dryer is proving popular on Amazon Australia thanks to hundreds of positive reviews.

Shoppers are shelving their hairdryers and straighteners in favour of this Hot Air Brush that plugs into the wall and smooths and styles your hair as it dries it.

It’s got an oval-shaped brush head to create extra volume, and three temperature settings to choose between based on how thick your hair is and what kind of styling you’re looking to achieve.

A big drawcard is the price, which at $60 - reduced to $40 now that it’s on sale - is a fraction of the $149 the popular brush dryer from Hot Tools retails for.

However, it’s the glowing reviews that have made it so popular, so much so that it's become a best seller in the beauty category in Australia.

One Aussie shopper described it as “so easy to use for someone who has no styling skills”.

“This is the best blow dry ever,” another person wrote, while a third reviewer said, “It makes my hair so smooth".

What is a brush dryer?

A hot brush dryer is designed to help give you that salon blow-dry at home without having to wrangle a hairdryer and hairbrush at the same time.

It straightens as it dries, eliminating frizz and adding volume to your roots, and can even be used it to add a little curl to your ends if you have the right technique.

It can be used on wet hair or to restyle dry hair the day after washing it instead of a straightener.

The Revlon dryer brush, which is unfortunately not available in Australia at the moment, has gone viral on TikTok, with users calling it a blowdrying hack and raving about how easy it is to style their hair.
