Honey Badger hints at major drama on new season of The Bachelor

While previous Bachelor stars have been more than happy to reveal they’ve found ‘the one’ before the show airs, this year’s eligible reality star, Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins, won’t say he’s definitely in a relationship.

Attending the TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night, the 30-year-old had a rule when walking the red carpet; be coy and grin for the cameras.

“I can confirm maybe,” he told Be when asked if he’d found love after filming the Channel Ten dating show.

From what the former professional rugby union star went on to say, it seems the upcoming season of The Bachelor will be drama-packed, and not everything will go to plan.

“It’s a hell of a bloody experience,” he said, before hinting some contestants may not have reacted well to the show’s format.

“Look it’s a TV show and some people struggle with cameras and microphones and each to their own,” he told Be.

“We’re all here at the right time and if you meet that right person at the right time, it doesn’t matter what environment it’s in, you can find whatever it is you’re looking for.”

“Maybe you’ll find out when it airs how it all goes,” he laughed.

Nick is Australia’s sixth Bachelor, following in the footsteps of Tim Robards, Blake Garvey, Sam Wood, Richie Strahan and Matty Johnson.

And of course, he’s hopeful for a fairytale ending and potential marriage, like the country’s first Bachelor couple, Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, who recently tied the knot after five years together.

“Yeah obviously everyone is looking for that special someone and you know why am I any different, of course I want that,” he admitted.

It’s not long till The Bachelor airs on Channel Ten, and we can’t wait.
