Home and Away's Sarah Roberts shares heartbreaking tribute: 'Tears'

Former Home and Away star Sarah Roberts has shared a bittersweet tribute to her late brother Karl De Abrew.

Karl passed away three years ago in 2019 after battling brain cancer for 15 years. Just three months before he died, he was able to walk Sarah down the aisle when she married James Stewart in Ireland.

Alongside a sweet video of the siblings together, ranging from childhood to Sarah’s wedding, she wrote a heart-wrenching caption.

“Three years without you today and the beauty of a memory is that you’re always here. Like a picture in my pocket, I can take you anywhere,” she began.

“When my heart is heavy and my eyes are filled with tears I can focus on the memory and travel through the years. My heart can visit happy times when laughter filled the air and your presence lessens my despair.

“As I travel on in life I take comfort as I go in a lifetime of ‘sweet memories’ of you who loved me so,” she finished.
