This Hollywood star is unrecognisable on set
He may be one of the most well-known actors in Australia, but when he was spotted on set in New York, onlookers were doing a double-take.
In character for his latest film, the star looked unrecognisable, and these photos show why.
Russell Crowe, 54, who has starred in a string of hit films, including Gladiator and Robin Hood, has undergone a remarkable transformation for Showtime’s series, The Loudest Voice in the Room.
Russell is set to play late Fox News chairman, 77-year-old Roger Ailes in the series and as the photos show, he’s certainly had to transform for the role.
He was spotted in character on Tuesday walking from his trailer to set in New York.
The series will tell the story of Roger Ailes’ life, including the allegations of sexual harassment made against him and his death in May 2017, after falling in his bathroom and hitting his head.
It’s also set to star Naomi Watts as his accuser, Gretchen Carlson, Sienna Miller as his wife, Beth Ailes and Seth MacFarlane as Roger’s right-hand man, Brian Lewis.
