Hoda Kotb is enjoying her first Halloween in the suburbs with her girls.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, the Today co-host, 60, showed off daughters Hope, 5, and Haley, 7, in their costumes as they celebrated Halloween together. Kotb wore a pumpkin orange jumpsuit, posing with her two daughters, who went as cheerleaders.

Hope wore a blue cheerleader costume, posing with her hand on her hip in one photo with her sister. Haley opted for a purple cheerleader uniform, smiling and carrying a white basket for her candy. Kotb included photos of the family of three trick-or-treating in the suburbs for the first time since they moved away from Manhattan.

"Boo!" Kotb wrote in her caption.

While chatting with PEOPLE for a cover story last month, Kotb gave an update on Hope, who experienced a sudden medical crisis in February 2023 that left the family searching for solutions and settling into a long-term medical journey. (Kotb declined to share the specific ailment out of privacy concerns.)

In the last six months, the mom of two said, “things have stabilized,” and moved Hope and big sister Haley out of New York City and into Westchester. Since the move, Kotb told PEOPLE that Hope is "thriving" and "improving."

"We're in a place where Hope is thriving," Kotb told PEOPLE. "She's improving, we're watching her, and I think as time goes on, we'll have a better handle on it, but we're already seeing great differences."

She continued, "We really have excellent care; I have people helping us out. I feel like she is finding steady footing."

When talking to PEOPLE again in August, Kotb shared her reasoning for the big move, saying, "I want my kids to feel grass on their feet, and play in the yard, and ride bikes down the street, and run up and down the stairs."

"I just see that life for them in this perfect house in this beautiful little town where I know they'll be able to blossom into beautiful, independent, strong women."
