Hilarious hidden message spotted in journalist's work shirt

A Sydney journalist who thought she was buying a standard shirt for work was shocked when she discovered it contained a hidden message.

Gina Rushton bought what appeared to be a white shirt with mustard stripes from The Iconic, but it turned out it wasn't at all work appropriate.

Sharing a photo on Twitter, the words "I only go to first base" can be seen written in the mustard stripe.

"I bought a shirt because I don't have many 'office-appropriate' clothes and I didn't realise it had writing on it until it arrived," Gina tweeted.

The mishap left people on Twitter in hysterics, with one agreeing it was not ideal office attire.

"That's one to wear for very important meetings," one joked.

"Good to set clear boundaries," another said.

"Too funny," a third added.

The shirt is retailing at $79, currently on sale from $149, and does indeed state in the product description that there is the "I only go to first base" message on the stripes - a detail Gina missed.

It comes after Coles was mocked last month for appearing to sell an X-rated item for Mother's Day.

The Best Buys catalogue advertised a range of Mother's Day buys which were on sale from April 22 until April 28, 2022.

But page three of the brochure sent customers into a spin as it featured a rather suspect massage wand as a suggested gift for Mum.

The SABA Wand Massager came in two colours and boasted a range of features, including strong and quiet vibration, waterproofing, and a soft skin-friendly waterproof head.

Other product details also had shoppers chuckling, with one customer stating: “Waterproof? Yeah, who’s gonna be massaging in the shower?”
