HGTV Star Ben Napier Says He's "Quitting His Job" after Seeing This Video
Home Town Takeover wraps up this weekend, and it sounds like Ben Napier is ready to hang up his hammer! The HGTV star shared his dream job on Instagram and, while we know he's joking, it actually sounds like the perfect fit for him.
Ben spends his days renovating houses with his wife, Erin, and woodworking in his Laurel, Mississippi, workshop, all while being filmed for Home Town and Home Town Takeover. But fans of the show recognize Ben has another passion—vintage cars. He's an avid collector and can often be seen driving his classic rides on HGTV. So when he saw a video on CBS Sunday Morning for a college program on restoring classic cars, he was ready to enroll.
Kansas's McPherson College has a 4-year program on automotive restoration—the only one of its kind in the country. Ben shared the video from the morning news show and tagged Erin, writing, "I'm quitting my job and going back to school."
Now that Ben and Erin have wrapped up their work in Sebring, Florida, he's sure to have some free time on his hands, right? Well, it sounds like the busy parents of two young girls are getting right back to work, as they return to Laurel and Home Town next week. Plus, the couple recently signed a contract keeping them on HGTV until 2027. But, who knows? Maybe a vintage car show with Ben could be next!
