There are a lot of shows out there dedicated to remodeling houses. Options fill networks and streamers, from GOAT HGTV and Chip and Jo's Magnolia, to Netflix and Prime. When you're trying to find new content to watch it can all get a little overwhelming, which is where our handy dandy guide to the best home renovation show based on your zodiac sign comes in. Instead of flipping channels like you're Tarek and Christina flipping houses, why not let the stars be your guide to finding the program that best suits your vibe? After all, if you can pick your dog breed and paint colors based on astrology, you certainly can do the same for your next television obsession!

According to Patty Kamson, Astrologer, Mystic, Crystal Connoisseur, and Spiritual Coach with over 25 years of experience, "No matter your Sun sign (Moon, Rising, or Venus, etc.!), there’s a renovation show out there that speaks to your cosmic sensibilities. Whether you love big, competitive flips, cozy family homes, or stunning transformations on a budget, let your unique zodiac style guide your streaming queue. Because when you blend astrology with a dash of interior design magic, you’ll find inspiration and maybe even your next home project waiting on the screen!"

Ahead, with Kamson's expertise, we'll break down the best home reno shows for each of the dozen signs of the zodiac. You can bet favorites like Home Town and Fixer to Fabulous will make an appearance on our list, but you're going to have to read on to find out whether they're most suited for fun-loving Geminis or persnickety Virgos (or neither). Cancer softie or hard-charging Aries, you're guaranteed to find the show that's just right for you, so you can settle in and binge away to your heart's content.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries the Ram is dynamic and driven, feisty and fiery, with energy and passion to spare. According to Kamson, "Aries loves excitement, competition, and anything that moves at lightning speed." In other words, this is not a sign that would groove to the more placid pleasures of PBS's OG reno show This Old House, or even Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. Kamson recommends:

Rock the Block: "Nothing says Aries quite like a race against the clock," Kamson says. "This show combines competition and creativity, perfect for fiery folks who can’t resist the thrill of outdoing the other teams."

The Flip Off: Kamson says, "Aries will resonate with the fearless attitudes of flippers who take on huge renovation risks. Watching teams go head-to-head to see who can flip a home for the biggest profit suits Aries’s need for action and victory."

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Artistic and sensual, this earth sign is also patient and practical by nature. "Ruled by Venus, Taurus adores comfort, beauty, and stability," Kamson notes. "Any show that focuses on creating a cozy, long-lasting haven will have them swooning." Specifically, she suggests Taurus the Bull would enjoy a night tucked in at home watching:

Chip and Joanna Gaines on Fixer Upper
HGTV

Fixer Upper: The show that launched a thousand shiplap interiors is filled with "plenty of warm, down-to-earth farmhouse touches—exactly what a Taurus needs to feel right at home," Kamson says. "Taureans will love Joanna’s ability to transform outdated spaces into inviting sanctuaries."

Renovation Island: "Watching Sarah and Bryan turn a scenic island property into a luxurious retreat hits all of Taurus’s sweet spots: indulgence, practicality, and a solid investment for the future," says Kamson.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Gemini is a light-as-air sign known for its playful people persons who are deeply intelligent, if a little impulsive and indecisive. The zodiac's charmingly flighty and flaky twins probably wouldn't sit still for a program aligning with the recent slow decorating and reno trend, or one where the process is showcased leisurely, in detail, like Good Bones. Instead, the "chatty, curious, and always hungry for variety Gemini needs shows with fast-paced banter and a range of design ideas to keep them from getting bored," says Kamson. Top options include:

Love It or List It: This longtime fan favorite ended its 19-season run (!!) in 2023 but will reboot this summer with Page Turner taking over as designer. (Real estate agent David Visentin will return.) Geminis might want to stick with Version 1.0, as they'll be entertained by the back-and-forth quips between David and original host Hilary, according to Kamson. "Plus, they’ll relish the question, 'Should I stay or should I go?' That mental puzzle is pure Gemini gold," she adds.

Bargain Block: Set in Detroit, "this series follows creative flippers turning rundown homes into affordable gems" for first-time homebuyers, Kamson says. "Geminis will love the lively dynamic and unexpected twists in each unique renovation story."

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

One of the zodiac's most empathetic and emotional signs, the crab is creative, caring, and maybe even a tad clingy. "Nurturing, home-loving Cancers value emotional warmth, family stories, and a personal touch in their home transformations," Kamson says. House flipping shows that are more about funds than family (or profit more than people) wouldn't appeal to the tender-hearted Cancer. These are good alternatives:

Home Town: "The close-knit, charming vibe of Laurel, Mississippi, combined with Erin’s sentimental approach to design, makes this show perfect for sensitive Cancer," notes Kamson. "They’ll appreciate the cozy details and heartfelt connections with clients."

Farmhouse Fixer: "There’s a deeply comforting nostalgia in restoring historic homes," Kamson says. "Cancers will enjoy the sweet, homey feelings that come from Jonathan’s passion for preserving each property’s history and character."

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

"Dramatic, creative, and larger-than-life, Leos want a show that’s at least as fabulous as they are," says Kamson of astrology's most charismatic and confident sign. The lion is most at home center stage, lapping up attention and adoration like a kitten with a bowl of milk. But alongside their preference for showmanship and the finer things in life (no Bargain Block, please, for these luxury lovers), Leos are wonderfully warmhearted creatures. The following programs jibe with their essential personalities:

windy city rehab alison victoria

Windy City Rehab: According to Kamson, "The high-stakes drama of flipping classic Chicago homes with big budgets suits Leo’s flair for spectacle and glamour. They’ll also love the grand, before-and-after moments worthy of a standing ovation.

Fixer to Fabulous: "Leo is drawn to a bright, joyful style, and Jenny’s warm enthusiasm and upbeat transformations in Bentonville, Arkansas, will hook them," Kamson says. "Plus, the show’s focus on family resonates with Leo’s generous heart."

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

The zodiac's biggest buzzkill (JK but maybe a little), Virgos tend toward hyper-critical, picky perfectionism but are also reliable, hardworking, and helpful. According to Kamson, "Meticulous, detail-oriented Virgo thrives on order, practicality, and solutions—especially in a renovation context." These shows are sure to be hits with Virgo the Virgin:

Help! I Wrecked My House: "Jasmine’s knack for solving renovation disasters with systematic efficiency and thoughtful design is pure Virgo heaven," notes Kamson. "Virgos will applaud her measured approach and skillful fixes."

100 Day Dream Home: Kamson says, "The idea of building an entire dream home in a set timeframe speaks to Virgo’s love of structure and clear deadlines. The couple’s organized process ensures no detail is overlooked—a Virgo must!"

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

"Charming, harmony-seeking Libras appreciate beauty, balance, and teamwork," Kamson says. "Any show that emphasizes collaboration and style will appeal to them." The air sign, which is symbolized by the scales, absolutely hates conflict, instead seeking unity and fairness in all situations. The discord common to Trading Spaces might not be quite up their alley, for example, though that's not true of Love It or List It, as Kamson notes below:

Love It or List It: "Libra has always adored the way Hilary and David work in tandem even as they politely bicker," Kanson says, and the reboot will hopefully be in the same spirit. "The show’s balance of budget, design, and negotiation speaks to Libra’s core values," she adds.

Unsellable Houses: "This series centers on twin sisters who combine forces to transform seemingly hopeless properties," Kamson says. "Libra will relish the team spirit, the charming family dynamic, and the balanced approach to boosting each home’s appeal."

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Passionate and potent, this all-or-nothing water sign is just maybe the zodiac's most powerful. At its worst, the scorpion has been dubbed manipulative and controlling, but there's no denying its magnetic presence. Kamson calls the sign "intense, intuitive, and transformative," concluding, "Scorpio loves a show that dives deep into a project’s potential, revealing dramatic results." Here are her recs sure to prove popular with Scorps:

Windy City Rehab: "For Scorpios, the show’s gritty undertones and major transformations scratch that itch for big reveals," Kamson says. "They’ll appreciate the hidden issues uncovered behind the walls. No secret stays buried for long."

Renovation Island: According to Kamson, "There’s a certain allure in tackling a massive, high-stakes renovation on a remote island. Scorpios understand the thrill of taking on something that could either be a grand success or an epic failure."

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Astrology's explorers, Sags are optimistic and even carefree, filled with energy and enthusiasm. The ninth astrological sign—symbolized by a centaur drawing a bow and arrow, or an arrow drawn across a bow—probably wouldn't feel satisfied with a predictable or repetitive home reno program. Instead, these "free-spirited adventurers love shows that incorporate travel, risk-taking, or a dash of humor," Kamson says—like those listed below:

The Flip Off: Notes Kamson, "Competitive house flipping feels like an adrenaline rush, and Sag loves a good challenge. Watching teams duke it out in different locales feeds that Sagittarius curiosity for exploring new places, even if it’s from the couch."

Bargain Block: "Although set in Detroit, each quirky, creative flip feels like a new expedition," Kamson says. "Sagittarius will be entertained by the surprises and the innovative ways each property gets transformed on a budget."

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Caps are famously ambitious and results-driven, but also risk-averse. They're pragmatic yet persistent and so "want to see real progress and smart investments in a renovation show," Kamson says. This practical sign, for example, will probably want to steer clear of old episodes of Netflix's Amazing Interiors, with its focus on over-the-top, eccentric spaces. Instead, Capricorns should try:

Fixer Upper: "Joanna's savvy designs and ability to boost property values check off Capricorn’s boxes for style plus strong ROI," according to Kamson. "It’s a timeless, proven approach that resonates with Cap’s sense of tradition."

100 Day Dream Home: "The concept of a guaranteed completion within a set timeframe is irresistible to Capricorns, who love a solid plan," says Kamson. "They’ll be impressed by the efficient teamwork and diligence that bring each dream home to life."

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Kamson calls Aquarians "Innovative, humanitarian, and slightly rebellious," adding that they "crave shows with unique concepts and a forward-thinking spin." The water bearer is a true original and can be decidedly independent and progressive-minded, with a disregard for societal norms. House flipping programs focusing on the too-traditional could bore this air sign, who might want to stick with shows with more unconventional design choices like Restored by the Fords, and these other alternatives:

Bargain Block: "Aquarians will adore how each home takes on a completely fresh identity, plus the show’s focus on revitalizing neighborhoods aligns with their community-minded spirit," Kamson says.

Help! I Wrecked My House: "Watching Jasmine pivot and innovate to save DIY disasters resonates with Aquarius’s love of out-of-the-box problem-solving," says Kamson. "They’ll also enjoy the show’s underlying theme of helping homeowners get back on track."

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Astrology's dreamer, the fish is intuitive, idealistic, and even impressionable. This water sign, the last of the zodiac, is where you go when you need compassion and great advice. Kamson describes Pisces folks as "gentle, imaginative, and deeply empathetic," adding that people born under this constellation "gravitate toward shows that spark their creativity and speak to the heart." Here are two that do just that:

Home Town: According to Kamson, "Erin’s sweet approach, dreamy designs, and the sense of community in Laurel will soothe Pisces’ tender soul. They’ll likely shed happy tears watching old homes come back to life with heartfelt touches."

Unsellable Houses: "The compassionate spirit of sisters Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis—who help struggling homeowners—is perfect for Pisces," Kamson notes. "They’ll be touched by the uplifting transformations that save folks from real estate despair."
