On the first day of the US Gymnastics Olympic Trials ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone and others performed a series of complex gymnastics routines for five spots on the US team, and Simone delivered excellence as expected.
The four-time Olympic gold medalist landed on the top of the leaderboard after performing exceptionally well in floor exercise, balance beam, vault, and uneven bars.
And the world touring music champion, aka T-Swift, is Team Simone!
Simone started her floor routine using Taylor's "Ready For It?" music from her sixth studio album, Reputation. You'd recognize that electropop opening anywhere if you're a sports fan or Swiftie.
Wow!
Yes!
Amazing!
When NBC Olympics shared a clip of Simone's floor routine, Taylor commented, "Watched this so many times and still unready. She's ready for it tho."

Now look, I'm no seasoned Swiftie by any means, but Reputation: Taylor's Version is the album we're all anxiously waiting to be released, and I'm taking this as a sign. Once that album drops, everyone will perform floor routines in our bedrooms.
This isn't the first time Taylor has given much-deserved big-ups to Simone. In 2021, she narrated a video segment on Simone's Olympic story. In the video, Taylor said, "Throughout the last week, her voice has been as significant as her talents. Her honesty as beautiful as the perfection that had long been her signature."
"But don't you see, she is perfectly human," she continues. "And that is what makes it so easy to call her a hero," Taylor continued.
Simone responded after seeing the video, writing, "I'm crying. how special. I love you @taylorswift13."
And then Taylor responded to Simone, writing, "I cried watching YOU. I feel so lucky to have gotten to watch you all these years, but this week was a lesson in emotional intelligence and resilience. We all learned from you. Thank you."
Taylor's right. Simone provided a great lesson on emotional intelligence and resilience when she pulled out of the events at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics despite the backlash due to twisties and her mental health.
But it looks like Simone's back, and she's ready for it!
