Fans have gone nuts after Broadway musical Hamilton made its way to Disney+ last week – so nuts, in fact, that it made history this week as the most Tweeted about Broadway show of all time. Hamilton tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton with the show's music drawing heavily from hip hop, R&B, pop and soul music. It also features a number of non-white actors as the Founding Fathers and other historical figures, and is described as being about "America then, as told by America now."

Noughts + Crosses is based on the first book in the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman and is set in an alternate history where Black "Cross" people rule over white "Noughts". Callum, a Nought, and Sephy, a Cross, were childhood friends as Callum's mother worked as a servant at Sephy's father's house. They meet again as adults and so begins a Romeo and Juliet-style love story.

Old Guard (out July 10), based on a graphic novel of the same name, is a film about a group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die and have protected the mortal world for centuries, led by Andy (Charlize Theron). However, their extraordinary abilities are exposed and they must eliminate the threat of those who wish to replicate and monetise their power by any means necessary.
