Helena Bonham Carter and Lookalike Son Spotted During Incredibly Rare Public Outing

Helena Bonham Carter and her rarely-seen son, Billy Burton, took a stroll through London this week—and the 21-year-old towered over his mom.

In pics obtained by the Daily Mail, Helena and Billy were accompanied by the star's longtime partner, Rye Dag Holmboe, as they headed to The Wells Tavern for a burger with two dogs in tow.

Billy, wearing a brown jacket and jeans, held on to one of the dog's leashes, while Rye, 36, led the second pup. Rye was dressed in a brown fleece, accessorizing with a bright green scarf wrapped around his neck for extra warmth.

Meanwhile, Helena, 58, was the most bundled up of the three, in a dark fleece-lined coat with a matching checked scarf and a grey knit hat with fur on the top.

Helena shares Billy and her daughter, Nell, 17, with her ex, Tim Burton. The couple parted ways in 2014 after 13 years together.

In a 2020 interview with The Guardian, Helena opened up about her relationship with Tim following their breakup.

“It’s taken us some time to adjust, but I think it’s really very good now,” she said. “And the kids are fine, they get to have a dual life. At first it’s a horrible thing to get used to, not having your children around [when you share custody]. The cruelty of divorce is extraordinary. But then you get to a point where you’re like, Oh, I get this week off! Some parts are very much to be recommended.”

In the same interview, she also addressed her unique sense of style—often described as "quirky."

“I love dressing up and creating myself, as it were, according to the day and the mood. But it’s an illusion, because then the Daily Mail photographs you, and you see it and think, that wasn’t what I meant at all,” she said.
