Heidi Klum's son makes runway debut at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week: See the photos

For Heidi Klum, the modeling gene truly runs in the family.

Klum's son Henry Samuel, whom she shares with ex-husband Seal, made his runway debut at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week on Tuesday. The 19-year-old, dressed in a backless black pantsuit, opened the Lena Erziak show in the French capital.

Klum, who got her showbiz start as a model in her native Germany, shared a video of Samuel walking the runway on Instagram.

"So proud of you Henry — opening the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show in Paris ❤️❤️❤️," Klum wrote.

Samuel's older sister, Leni Klum, also followed in their mother's modeling footsteps. The 20-year-old began her fashion career in 2020, with Klum playing her assistant in her first-ever magazine shoot for Vogue Germany.

Though Leni had several modeling opportunities while growing up, Klum preferred to keep her out of the public eye. When she turned 16, however, Klum deemed Leni "old enough" to pursue a modeling career.

"It was only a matter of time before I would try to become a model myself. The first offer came when I was only 12 or 13, from a brand I liked to wear: Brandy Melville. At that time I begged my mother, but no chance," Leni told Vogue Germany in 2020. "Now I understand that it would have been too early."

In an interview with Vogue Germany published Tuesday, Samuel shared the advice his mother and sister offered him ahead of his modeling debut.

"Leni advised me to look straight ahead and walk as if I were balancing a book on my head," Samuel told the fashion outlet in a translated quote. "My mother told me to do my best and not forget to have fun doing it."
