Chrissy Teigen Gets Real About Giving Birth

Chrissy Teigen is not one to hold in her true feelings on any situation - and that's why we love her so much.

However the 30-year-old supermodel, who gave birth to her first child, Luna, on Monday, has maybe divulged a little bit too much information online about one problem women face after delivering a baby: postpartum incontinence.

"No one told me I would be coming home in diapers too," Chrissy tweeted online, just days after being released from hospital.

After giving birth, many women experience weakened pelvic floor muscles and bladder issues - it's just not talked about that often.

Speaking to mic.com, Tania Boler, founder and CEO of Chiaro, said there needs to be awareness around the issue.

"During pregnancy, there is three times the normal pressure on your pelvic floor muscles, and combined with the increase in the relaxin hormone, your pelvic floor will naturally become stretched," said Tania, who has created a device called Elvie, which helps to strengthen people's floor muscles.

"Many women think that if they have a Caesarian that their pelvic floor muscles will be spared, but this really isn't the case. ... It's shocking how little education pregnant women are given about how to look after their pelvic floor."

In 2015, Kim Kardashian also wrote a blog post about the things she was never told about being pregnant.

"Do you know you basically have to wear a diaper for two months afterwards? Lol! No one told me that! #Sosexy," she said.

We seriously learn something new about childbirth every day.
