Harry caught rolling his eyes in awkward moment with Meghan
They were the picture of happiness when they toured Australia in October, holding hands and gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes.
Fast-forward three months and there seems to have been a frosty moment between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The 34-year-old prince and his 37-year-old former Suits actress wife, attended a performance of Cirque de Soleil in London on Wednesday night, where some rather awkward scenes were caught on camera.
Pregnant Meghan looked stunning in a $6,100 gown by Roland Mouret and matched it with a red lipstick.
However, while they were all smiles when they arrived at the venue, when they later went to sit down, they were caught in what appeared to be a moment of tension.
Prince Harry can be seen in the video above holding out his hand for his wife to hold, which she does and says ‘thank you’ while beaming at her husband.
The prince looks stony-faced as he stares ahead, before sighing and throwing his eyes up, looking thoroughly exasperated.
Take a look at the video below:
Just moments before that, the prince could be seen waving and clapping as the performance came to an end.
His wife, Meghan, can then be seen looking towards her husband in a nod to help her take her seat.
He obliges, holding out his hand for her, before sitting down and pursing his lips.
In the video, Meghan looks confused at her husband’s behaviour.
“Playing with the ring is not good,” one person said on Instagram.
“Harry does not look happy anymore,” another person said.
The awkward moment between the pair comes after the palace has been plagued by rumours of Meghan’s ‘difficult’ attitude towards her staff.
Those rumours only intensified when a number of her staff quit their jobs at Kensington Palace, reportedly due to her ‘diva demands’.
Meghan has reportedly “ripped up the rule book” when it comes to traditions in the royal family.
This includes ‘bombarding’ aides with texts after her daily routine of waking up at 5am, according to the Mail on Sunday.
An alleged royal insider claims she messages aides up to seven times a day with ideas about her role, and is so enthusiastic that she’s been organising a number of ‘undercover’ missions to meet members of the British public who are associated with ‘good causes’.
It’s even been reported that the ‘royal feud’ between Meghan and Kate Middleton all started because the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t like the way Meghan spoke to members of her staff in the lead up to her and Harry’s May wedding.
“That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them,” mum-of-three Kate is supposed to have said, according to an insider who spoke to The Sun.
That same person also added: “It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they [Kate and Meghan] are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach”.
