Harry banishes childhood chum who disapproved of Meghan

Prince Harry may have dropped his best friend because he voiced his disapproval of Meghan Markle, according to a new report.

Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip was an inseparable chum of Harry’s since the pair’s school days at Eton, and best known for being one of his party mates on that infamous night in Las Vegas.

Recently however, the loyal friend seems to have disappeared from Harry’s life.

Much speculation has circled around the sudden absence of the royal pal, who surely wouldn’t choose to bow out as Harry heads for his most important role yet; fatherhood.

Where initially rumours focussed on an attempt by Harry to leave his party days behind, another theory is that the soon-to-be-father might be keeping his distance because his friend disapproves of his new wife.

The shocking claims surfaced in a Tatler article which, in examining the public scrutiny faced by the Duchess of Sussex, made the bold claims that a ‘hen-pecked’ Harry had cut ties with his former pal for one very distinct reason.

Referencing Meghan’s alleged public missteps, the article reads: “Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip, the ultra-loyal, tight-lipped Harry pal, who, it’s said, advised Harry not to marry Meghan and has paid the price: banishment.”

It goes on to claim that the banishment was a slow-burner that started at the couple’s wedding.

“Although Skippy was invited to the couple’s wedding, alongside many of Harry’s old friends he was edged out of the reception at Frogmore House in favour of big celebrities,” the article claims.

The apparent sting comes after Harry – with future-wife Meghan in tow – played an active role in Skippy’s wedding in Jamaica just one year earlier.

The article also shockingly claims that Harry’s own brother urged caution regarding his marriage to Meghan. William allegedly advised his younger brother against rushing into marriage according to ‘some people’.

The new claims refute earlier reports that it was the school friend’s ‘tomfoolery’ that lead to the apparent rift.

“Like several others who were considered a questionable influence on Harry during his bad old bachelor days, Tom has been dropped,” a source told The Express last October.

“It’s all part of Meghan’s quiet airbrushing out of Harry’s old posse. She doesn’t want temptation – of any sort…”

It might be that it’s not Meghan behind the blow up at all, but her fiercely loyal husband.

Looks like Harry’s priority will always be the future mother of his children, and he’s not afraid to burn some bridges to make that clear.
