Harry and Meghan 'flew to Ibiza on private jet' with Archie
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly took their baby son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to Ibiza for his first holiday earlier this month, and hopped aboard a private jet plane to get there.
According to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Harry, 34, and Meghan, 38, flew to the Balearic islands by private jet with their security team and returned to London earlier this week.
The report says the royal couple spent five days in a private villa, to celebrate Meghan’s 38th birthday, which was on August 4.
“They travelled with security personnel, and it is reported that local security forces were not needed,” a local report stated.
It marks three-month-old Archie’s first trip abroad, ahead of the Sussexes’ royal tour of Africa this autumn.
Yahoo UK has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
It comes after controversial reports claimed Prince Harry travelled to the Google summit in Sicily by private jet, earlier this month, where he gave a speech about climate change, while barefoot.
Meghan once enjoyed a girls’ trip to Ibiza with fashion designer Misha Nonoo and childhood friend Benita Litt in August 2016.
Misha is widely reported to have been the friend who set Meghan and Harry up on a blind date in summer 2016, while Benita’s daughters Rylan and Remi Litt were bridesmaids at the royal wedding.
Harry and Meghan are also expected to spend some time at the Queen’s Balmoral estate in Scotland this month.
The duke will attend the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24 August. Harry has been Patron of the Rugby Football League since December 2016.
