‘Happy Gilmore 2’ First Teaser: Adam Sandler Rides Again — As Does His Nemesis
Adam Sandler and Netflix are wishing you a merry Christmas and “Happy” new year — and Hanukkah. Your gift? The SNL alum posted to Instagram the first teaser for Happy Gilmore 2, the looonnnng-awaited sequel to the wacky 1996 golf comedy. Watch it below.
Sandler’s title character would be on the Senior Tour nowadays, but we don’t get much in the way of plot details for the film. But there are a few hints and some visual nostalgia, including Gilmore’s signature Boston Bruins jersey and waffle stompers and him thrilling tee-side fans by riding his driver like a horsey. Oh, and … Shooter McGavin makes an appearance in the brief clip that’s punctuated with a snippet from Pilot’s 1975 earworm classic “Magic.”
