Ahead of the release of the second season of her Lifetime reality series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, Blanchard, 33 — who is no stranger to changing up her look since being released from prison in December 2023— gave fans a glimpse of her latest hairstyle.
She shared a pair of photos on Instagram showing off the new, chin-length cut. The sleek bob is colored a dark brown, close to her natural hair color.
In one photo, she can be seen putting some of her hair behind her ear as she gazed at the camera, while another photo shows a closeup of the look.
“New year, new mom, new haircut, new me,” she captioned the photos, adding a hashtag of her name and her show.
Blanchard previously sported mid-length brown hair that ended just below her shoulders, which could be seen in posts she made earlier this year. Last year, she also notably made a drastic change by dying her hair blonde.
She jokingly told PEOPLE of the transformation at the time, “Blondes do have more fun.” She added that she had “been wanting to go through a physical transformation to sort of separate myself from the old Gypsy.”

“I felt that going into prison, growing my hair out, that was me evolving into my own back then,” she explained. “But coming out of prison was another evolving moment for me, and so I think that right now I’m very comfortable in the way I look, and I’m proud and I have confidence now.”
It seems Blanchard is undergoing another evolution following the birth of her daughter Aurora, whom she welcomed with partner Ken Urker on Dec. 28 — one year after her release from prison.

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard with blonde hair in May 2024The Munchausen by proxy victim, who served eight years in prison after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother, previously opened up in an interview with PEOPLE about what it was like being a new mom, and shared that she was a bit "relieved" to have a girl rather than a boy.
"I think despite my relationship with my mom, I think there is something special about a mother and daughter's relationship that I am so blessed to be able to live through with her because I didn't have that with my own mom," Blanchard said last month. "It's nice that I can just step into that role of a mother and see how it's supposed to be.”
In a July YouTube video titled "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far," Blanchard also shared that she wanted to be as different from her mom as possible, saying, “I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn't."
Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up season 2 premieres Monday, March 10, at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
