Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop follows ‘vagina’ candle with 'orgasm' version
Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed the follow-up to her controversial ‘vagina’ candle is called This Smells Like My Orgasm.
The Goop founder caused quite the stir earlier this year when her lifestyle brand sold out of a candle that smells like her vagina.
But if you thought that was peak Goop, think again as the actor turned wellness entrepreneur has now announced her next candle, and it is equally as, er, unique.
Yep, the latest addition to the scented candle collection will be This Smells Like My Orgasm, and just like with its previous counterpart we can’t help but wonder about the testing process.
The Avengers star, 47, unveiled the latest unusually titled product during a remote appearance on a US chat show.
The ‘orgasm’ candle is listed on the Goop website, though for the time being is only available to US customers, selling for $75 (approximately $110 AUD!).
A description of the unusual candle on the website reads: “A fitting follow-up to that candle – you know the one – this blend is made with tart grapefruit, neroli, and ripe cassis berries blended with gunpowder tea and Turkish rose absolutes for a scent that’s sexy, surprising, and wildly addictive.”
We might just take your word on that, Gwyneth.
The wellness entrepreneur proudly showed off the candle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, telling the host it “might be more for you, to give to your wife”.
The candle comes in a box embossed with fireworks.
Back in April Paltrow shared that her daughter thinks she should be spending time in coronavirus lockdown making more vagina eggs and candles.
The Goop founder shared a photograph of a to-do list made by Apple, in her notebook.
“Make more vagina eggs and candles,” the note reads with Gwyneth captioning the post: “interpretation of my to-do list #quaranteen.”
Paltrow recently starred in The Goop Lab, a Netflix documentary series about her lifestyle and wellness brand.
Goop is often criticised by health professionals for making unsubstantiated health claims, such as the importance of vaginal steaming and the use of vaginal eggs.
