Gwen Stefani Ditched Blonde for a Jet Black Bob With Her Snow White Halloween Costume

Even blondes deserve a night off.

Gwen Stefani is one of pop culture's most favorite platinum blondes, but for Halloween this year, the singer decided to tuck her bright tresses away and opt for something darker to complement her Disney princess costume.

In a video posted to her Instagram page, the No Doubt frontwoman revealed that she dressed as Snow White for Halloween 2024. The costume was movie accurate, and featured the iconic princess's red, yellow and blue dress—the gown featured round satin puff sleeves, and a corset detail at the bust and waist that billowed out in to a golden yellow full skirt.

The pop icon completed the look with a cropped, curly jet black bob—giving us subtle flashbacks to her 2004 video, "Cool"—that she accessorized with a large red bow headband. Of course, some parts of Stefani's signature beauty look were still present; she wore a punchy bright red lipstick, as per usual, on her lips to continue the pops of color.

The Snow White costume isn't the first time that Stefani donned a dark wig for. Ahead of this year's Halloween, the pop star posted a throwback snap of her and husband Blake Shelton on their first Halloween together—Stefani dressed up as a bloody country girl with dark brunette pigtails under a woven straw hat. She captioned the sweet post, "Met u in October i had nothing to lose, dressed up like a country girl i knew you’d approve, knew i had to kiss you on the Halloween moon…"
