'Great in the garage': Get this rugged DeWalt vac for just $99 — 45% off
Say goodbye to dust and debris with this powerful cordless helper, just right for heavy-duty jobs.
I'm not exactly sure when, but sometime in the past few years, I hit the age when you start getting excited about vacuums. When our old indoor vacuum finally kicked the bucket, I was stoked to have an excuse to snag a Dyson, and when the leaves started falling, I immediately bought a yard vac. Now that I have those bases covered, it's time for a new garage and car vacuum, and this DeWalt 20V Cordless Vacuum is the frontrunner, especially now that it's on sale for under $100 — an impressive 45% off its original price.
The features on this vacuum are many, including an LED light and six cleaning attachments.
Why is this a good deal? 💰
At less than $100, this DeWalt is a steal considering its performance and reliability, especially if you already have other tools that are part of the DeWalt 20-volt ecosystem. Is your car a mess? The DeWalt will make quick work of that as well, especially since there's no pesky cord getting in the way.
We even tested this model in our best car vacuums of 2024 round-up, dubbing it reliable, powerful and easy to maneuver, especially "considering its exceptionally strong suction." The price kept it from becoming one of our top picks, which makes this sale that much sweeter.
Why do I need this? 🤔
I once made the mistake of dragging my Dyson into the garage to clean up. While that vacuum works great indoors, the garage — with its dust, leaves, cobwebs, screws, nails and other hardware — is another beast altogether. Try throwing a garage's worth of sawdust and dirt at your normal vac and you'll be emptying its dainty little bin every 30 seconds.
The DeWalt, on the other hand, isn't afraid to get its HEPA filters dirty. It's built like a tank (because, well, it's DeWalt) and uses the same battery that powers everything from your drill to your saw. This isn't a vacuum meant for picking up crumbs from your pet's kibble bowl — it's for when the crumbs are chunks of two-by-fours and the kibble is half a bag of cement mix, all of which is effortlessly emptied into your trash, thanks to an easy-to-use canister.
It also features an LED to brighten up dark corners and illuminate the dusty spaces underneath cabinets and shelves, as well as a belt hook so you can carry it around hands-free. Finally, it comes with six cleaning attachments that fit into an included mesh bag, so you'll know where they are when you need them.
What reviewers say 💬
Over 3,300 reviewers have given this "great in the garage" vac a five-star rating, and 6,000 have been sold in the past month.
Pros 👍
"This vacuum is great," raved one five-star reviewer who was happy that the batteries from his drill could be swapped over to the vacuum without issue. "Extremely high quality and very durable. It's light and portable. It's always ready to go for that little job. It makes cleaning ceilings and corners a breeze. It has excellent suction for its size. As I mentioned, it uses a standardized battery pack that is easy to find and can be used for other things."
"Having had competitors in the past, this is a purchase I should have made long ago," said this convert. "Used in the car, on the deck, carpet, laminate, vinyl and concrete floors. Being very inexpensive in the vacuum world, I recommend 100%."
A final five-star customer praised the DeWalt vac's battery-life. "The suction power is impressive for its size, and the runtime on the 20V battery is more than enough to get through all my cleaning tasks without needing a recharge."
Cons 👎
While this vacuum may be great for garages and cars, according to some reviews, carpeting is where it falls flat. "For flat hard surfaces only," cautions one four-star reviewer, "plus whatever the included little brushes, crevice tools and the end of the hose and extension will work on. I tried it on the carpet, and it just sucks down and becomes immovable in carpets, so don't count on carpet vacuuming at all."
"I'm assuming because of the suction power, this unit consumes battery power quicker than other DeWalt products," warned another customer. "Doesn't matter to me because I have plenty of DeWalt batteries."
This vacuum is a no-brainer for cleaning messy cars and garages, especially if you've already got a bunch of DeWalt products (and batteries).
