Yahoo Lifestyle Goldie Hawn Fans Gush Over Unexpected New TV Collaboration
Goldie Hawn briefly returned to television this week when she closed out the Season 9 of Celebrity IOU in an unexpected collaboration that left fans gushing.
The Overboard actress celebrated the occasion ahead of the episode airing on Monday, March 10, when she took to Instagram with a teaser for her time on the reality series, where the Property Brothers—Drew and Jonathan Scott—help celebs thank the people who played a major part in their lives with surprise home renovations.
In the photo, Goldie stood an entire head lower than the handymen, who framed her on either side. She posed in the middle of a partially demoed kitchen, bracing one gloved hand on her hip and holding her hammer up proudly.
To her right, Jonathan held a sledgehammer at hip height, keeping it secure with both hands and a smile, while, to her left, Drew held the same tool in one hand and a crowbar in the other.
"Tonight’s episode is all about gratitude," she wrote alongside the promotional image. "After 40 years of love and support, it’s my turn to help create a beautiful space for someone who means the world to me. So grateful to @propertybrothers for making it happen! 🏡❤️ #CelebIOU @hgtv."
According to a recap from Remind magazine, Hawn enlisted the brothers to help remodel the kitchen and living areas of her “soul sister” Celia, a close friend of almost five decades who provided endless support to Hawn during her separation from her daughter Kate Hudson's father, Bill Hudson.
Fans were thrilled with the news, with several scrambling to figure out how to watch the HGTV series.
