But Roberts, 63, couldn't help but give Strahan a hard time over his age, which he tried to downplay by acting like he is younger than he really is.
"It's his birthday!" We're making him work so hard on his birthday," Roberts told viewers during Thursday's broadcast, after telling Strahan that he was "working it" on the show today.
'Thank you, thank you," Strahan said in response to the birthday wishes, before quipping, "It feels good to be 29."
Roberts then issued the perfect response, roasting Strahan by telling him, "You've been holdin' 29 for a long time, son."
