“GMA” cohost 'fell asleep' watching hunky Netflix rom-com “Hot Frosty”
Whit Johnson revealed on the air that his wife made him watch the new Lacey Chabert-led film, but that he fell asleep before it was over.
Dustin Milligan's ripped abs in Hot Frosty weren't enough to sufficiently roast Good Morning America cohost Whit Johnson's chestnuts over an open fire this holiday season.
The morning TV personality's colleague, Sam Champion, instead, lightly roasted him on Friday morning after Johnson admittedly "fell asleep" while watching the new Netflix rom-com (also starring Lacey Chabert).
"This holiday season is hotter than ever, starting with Netflix releasing their film Hot Frosty — I'm not kidding," Champion said during a GMA segment about an uptick in "holiday hunks" Christmas-themed projects, including Milligan's portrayal of a snowman who comes to life and begins a romantic entanglement with a grieving widow.

"When Hot Frosty debuted, it was Netflix's most-watched movie of the week. Seriously, people. Calm down!" Champion quipped, after Johnson revealed that his wife "made" him "start watching that movie."
He later elaborated: "We started watching the movie, I’m telling you, my wife was like, 'Everybody's watching the movie.' I fell asleep," he said, as his peers chuckled.

Netflix, however, is laughing for a different reason, as the film has become a popular release for the streaming platform, landing at the No. 1 spot on its most-watched list of movies shortly after its release in November.
The movie's campy tone and wacky nature earned solid critical reviews as well, while the project also includes some non-Christmas Easter eggs for viewers to enjoy — including a Mean Girls reference that sees Chabert's character watching a clip from Lindsay Lohan's Falling for Christmas (another Netflix holiday rom-com) on an in-movie TV screen, with the character noting that Lohan looks like a girl she "went to high school with."
GMA airs weekday mornings on ABC. Hot Frosty is now streaming on Netflix. Watch Johnson discuss falling asleep during the film in the clip above.
