Gigi Hadid stepped out in New York City yesterday putting her own spin on the method dressing trend. No, she wasn't dressed like the character (or even a theme) from a film—she was dressed as a bottle of fragrance. Hadid appeared at a pop-up in honor of Rabanne's Million Gold For Her, and she decided to co-ordinate with the luxurious golden bottle for the occasion.

Hadid wore a simple soft butter yellow maxi dress with a tiered flowy skirt. On top, she added a semi-sheer gold-tinted PVC raincoat, which she wore with the collar turned up and the belt tied at the waist. The coat added a reflective, glass-like quality to the look that mimicked the geometric, multi-faceted bottle. She completed the look with a pair of glistening golden heeled boots and went sans jewelry. Her makeup was fresh and simple aside from a golden-red lip, while her hair was worn slicked hair in a wet-effect bun.

Not only did Hadid look an awful lot like the fragrance bottle, she also looked like the human representation of a sudden rain shower on a sunny day—and what could be more appropriate for spring than that?

Hadid, who is a new Rabanne Global Ambassador, has been promoting the fragrance for the last month. In February, she posted an image of Instagram that showed her holding a bottle while posing in a white bathrobe.

“Million Gold For Her reminds me of how Rabanne feels as a brand," Hadid said in a statement. "It's powerful and beautiful, with rose, lavender and a salty mineral musk undertone. I love the balance. I think that a lot of my personality has masculine tinges to it, so I Iike the mix of feminine and masculine elements in a fragrance.”

Hadid's latest appearance comes days after she made rare comments about her relationship with actor Bradley Cooper.  “I respect him so much as a creative,” she said in a March 11 interview with Vogue. “And I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap.”

She added that while the relationship was “very romantic and happy,” there were things that were “not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason.”

In the same interview, Hadid also opened up about co-parenting her daughter, Khai, with ex Zayn Malik. “At the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story,” Hadid said. “What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”
