Gigi Hadid Favors Fuzzy Texture in Cashmere Coat for Guest in Residence Seoul Pop-up Opening

Gigi Hadid previewed a new Guest in Residence design at the opening of her knitwear brand’s pop-up shop in Seoul on Monday. The supermodel debuted a brown cashmere coat, pairing it with straight-leg jeans, black loafers and a gold necklace.

Hadid wore her dirty blond tresses in a sleek bob, while her makeup consisted of winged eyeliner and a mauve lip.

The Rabanne brand ambassador currently works with stylist Mimi Cuttrell, who also counts Ariana Grande and “Outer Banks” actress Madelyn Cline as clients.

As reported by WWD earlier this year, textile trends for the season emphasize new textures and blends, particularly cashmere. Textile-makers are also emphasizing sustainability, with certifications like RWS and ZQ to insure eco-friendly material production. Innovations such as slub yarns and bouclé textures highlight cashmere’s enduring softness and durability, combining traditional elegance with modern sustainable practices.

Hadid launched her cashmere label in 2022, opening its flagship in New York in 2023.

“I decided that there was a niche for me, which was to offer this luxury item that I feel has a history of being made exclusive from this price point, and bring it to a place where everyone deserves a luxury item,” Hadid told WWD at the time of her decision to dive into the cashmere market. “Everyone deserves a sustainable material that if they take care of can last decades and pass down — really try to encourage people to invest in their wardrobe and not be wasteful.”

The Guest in Residence Seoul pop-up takes place at Tom Greyhound, located in the city’s Gangnam district, through Nov. 24.
