Geri Halliwell-Horner has divided fans after sharing a photo of herself with a lion on Instagram on Thursday, with some calling it 'barbaric'. The Spice Girls singer, 51, captioned the image, "Roar 🦁... The Fire 🔥 within you."
While some fans loved the snap, others were left shocked by it, with one user writing, "This is not real, right? 😳"
"Is this real? Is this poor creature doped up on tranquillisers to be tame enough for photo shoots?!" another wrote.
"Unbreak my heart and tell me this is Photoshopped," a third said.

Others were quick to defend the star, with one fan writing, "It is truly hilarious that so many of you ask if this is fake due to the state of the lion, you surely haven’t seen Photoshopped photos have you "
"You should be disgusted using an animal who was clearly sedated in this manner for a photo op!" one user wrote in response to a comment by the photographer, Rosie Hardy.
Rosie was quick to respond, "It’s all Photoshop - no sedation here but 🙌 for your passion for animal rights! ❤️."
