Problem: You have to feed the kids on Halloween before they go to town on all that Halloween candy, and you want 'em to eat something that's at least a little fun. Or, you have a bunch of folks coming over for a big Halloween party and you just realized you don't have any savory food set out. Or, you were tasked, yesterday, with bringing something to today's Halloween potluck and you haven't had time to shop.

Solution: Get this ghost-shaped cookie cutter and a stack of mozzarella slices, and turn your favorite frozen, delivery, or Costco pizza into a delightfully ghoulish, stomach-filling Halloween treat. Hooray! The day is saved!

Ingredients

  • Store-bought pepperoni pizza

  • Sandwich-style low-moisture mozzarella slices

  • Black sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Cook pizza according to the package directions. While the pizza is cooking, use a 3 1/2-inch ghost-shaped cookie cutter (such as this one) to cut shapes from the mozzarella slices. Arrange ghosts on pizza and place sesame seeds for eyes. Cook until cheese is melted, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
