Friday Ratings: All CBS Dramas Hit Season Highs in Audience

In the latest TV show ratings, all three CBS dramas hit (or at least tied) season highs in audience this past Friday.

Blue Bloods, as always and (almost) forever, was Friday’s most-watched program, while SWAT and Fire Country tied for the nightly demo win.

CBS’ SWAT this week drew 4.6 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, ticking up on both counts to mark season highs. Fire Country (4.7 mil/0.4) also rose in both measures with Jared Padalecki’s second guest-starring episode of three, hitting and tying season highs. And Blue Bloods — with just two episodes left to air! — matched its biggest audience (5.1 mil) and best demo number (0.3) of the fall aka Season 14B.

As we reminded you earlier this week, the Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy retrospective special airs this Friday at 9/8c. The series’ finale two episodes then air on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 (get plot and guest cast details).

Over on NBC this past Friday, Happy’s Place (3.1 mil/0.2) ended a bit of a slow slide by growing in audience. Lopez vs. Lopez (1.8 mil/0.2) also was up a tick in audience and steady in the demo.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Steve Harvey is not a judge or lawyer and merely offers an alternative forum of dispute resolution
