The showroom will be open from Feb. 10 through Feb. 12 in NoHo on Bowery, offering retail buyers, media, stylists and industry professionals the chance to book appointments and view new collections from apparel, accessories, beauty, home and lifestyle brands. Participating brands will represent countries from around the world, including the U.S., U.K., Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia and Mexico, among others.
“We are thrilled to be hosting another season of The Folklore Showroom, and nearly doubling the number of designers this season,” said Amira Rasool, founder and chief executive officer of The Folklore. “For our brands and the wider NYFW community, it has become a staple on the calendar, especially since we always prioritized having a racially diverse mix of designers that otherwise retailers may not ever have gotten a chance to see in person.”
Among the brands featured are Afrique Kod, Alosh London, April & Alex, Casa Amarosa, Chez Nous, Doizpe, Dur Doux, Edas, Elexiay, Fang Nyc, Gabar, House of Aama, Imprint, Inola Ojen, I Waited For You, Kahindo, Kali Works, Larallen, Lilith Nyc, Maison Kebe, Mixed Up Clothing, Mot the Label, Nicole Benefield, Orire, Outterspace Integrated Luxury, Rendoll, Scqueeze, The Ekhator Label, Transcend, Untourage the Label, Villa Aburi, Wisdom, Yaura, Zena Ziora and 1964.
