The Flip Off is the unconventional TV reunion viewers have been waiting for.

Exes Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa are back together professionally, and they're joined by his wife, former Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa, for a new show on HGTV.

Best known as the former co-hosts of Flip or Flop, Christina and Tarek were married for seven years and welcomed two children before announcing their split in 2016. They continued to film Flip or Flop despite personal ups and downs, and eventually concluded the series with season 10 in 2022.

Now, Christina and Tarek are sharing the screen again, but this time, it'll look different. In the upcoming show, Tarek and Heather are teaming up against Christina to see who can "find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain," according to the network.

Originally, The Flip Off was meant to be a "showdown" between Christina and Tarek and their spouses, but amid filming, she split from her now-estranged husband Josh Hall. It's rumored that Christina's new teammate on the show is contractor Michael Lange.

From the show's plot to cast and release date, here's everything to know about HGTV's The Flip Off.

The Flip Off is an HGTV competition series that will follow Team Haack and Team El Moussa as they "attempt to find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain," per the network.

Over the course of six episodes, the teams will renovate their chosen properties and be subjected to the opinions of guest judges.

The winner of each weekly renovation challenge will receive $2,000 from the losing team, which will be used for the following week's project.

The final prize of "the flip off" is a first-class vacation paid for by the losing team (and bragging rights, of course).

It's unclear if Josh Hall will appear on the show, considering he and Christina filmed together before their divorce filing in July 2024. Hall was later removed from the show's promo photos released in December 2024.

"I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way," Christina told Entertainment Tonight in November 2024, adding that Hall "doesn’t like" her friendly dynamic with Tarek.

Since Hall's early exit, Christina has been seen filming with her Christina on the Coast contractor, Michael Lange. It's unknown if Lange is her official new partner on The Flip Off or just a guest teammate.

As for guest judges, Heather Dubrow, Ant Anstead, Jeff Lewis and Selling Sunset's Amanza Smith are slated to make appearances. Christina and Tarek's mothers will also throw in their two cents.

When does The Flip Off premiere?

The Flip Off's two-hour premiere episode will air on Jan. 29, 2025, on HGTV at 8 p.m. ET, per Deadline.

HGTV has yet to release an official trailer for The Flip Off, but PEOPLE got an exclusive first look at the show in December 2024.

The one-minute sneak peek showed Christina informing Tarek that she and Hall had called it quits after nearly three years of marriage.

"Things with Josh have been bad for a long time," she said. "The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?"

After her divorce from Tarek was finalized in early 2018, Christina wed Anstead that same year. The couple welcomed a son together and eventually split in 2020. Christina then married Hall in 2021.

"It’s really taken a really bad toll on me," the mom of three said before apologizing to Tarek for any hurt she'd caused him. "I’m really sorry for s--- too. I really am. I just want you to know."

Tarek responded with empathy, saying, "I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this."

A month after her divorce from Anstead was finalized, Christina began dating Hall in July 2021. They secretly wed later that October.

The former police officer eventually filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. The news came just two months after HGTV announced The Flip Off, and the couple were seen filming promos together.

In August 2024, Hall moved out of their Newport Beach, Calif., home and Christina returned to the set of The Flip Off alone.

"I finally have my appetite back. I'm exercising again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home," she wrote on her Instagram Stories that same month. "I will never give away my peace again. If you've ever lost peace and gained it back, there is a new level of gratitude for every single moment of life."

Christina is currently in the process of removing a tattoo on her left ring finger related to Hall. Meanwhile, he's living at her Tennessee farmhouse, which she planned to sell until Hall intervened. He also allegedly asked for $65,000 per month in spousal support.

Nowadays, Christina and Tarek are friendly co-parents — something she claims was a stumbling block for her third husband. In November 2024, Christina told Entertainment Tonight that Hall harbored "jealously" toward Tarek.

“[He] doesn’t like our dynamic because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it ‘flirty,’ ” she explained. "For me, it’s like a sibling type of thing.”

Christina seemingly gets along well with Tarek's wife, Heather. The couple got married in 2021 and welcomed a son two years later.

We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek told Access Hollywood in December 2024. "At the end of the day, we’re actually friends. We take care of each other, we’re really supportive.”

Heather jokingly added that she and Tarek have volunteered to "screen" Christina's future suitors. "I feel like we’d be good judges,” she said. "We are up for the challenge.”
