Fire Country Stars Tee Up Jared Padalecki’s Debut — ‘Insane Fight Scene’ Included (Exclusive Video)
This week on CBS’ Fire Country, Bode gets a “new boss” — and he’s played by Supernatural and Walker alum Jared Padalecki, as previewed in the exclusive BTS video above.
Padalecki kicks off his arc as SoCal firefighter Camden Casey in the episode “Edgewater’s About to Get Real Cozy,” airing this Friday at 9/8c, and in which Station 42 and Three Rock jump into action when an airplane makes an emergency landing outside of Edgewater.

Along the way, Bode (played by series co-creator Max Thieriot) meets Camden, the Phase 3 training captain who immediately recognizes the Leone legacy’s raw talent.
“Everyone sort of treats Bode like this tiger they’re trying to tame,” Fire Country showrunner Tia Napolitano previously told TVLine, “and Camden kind of says, ‘Why would you try to tame a tiger? Let him out!’ He leans into Bode’s dangerous side, his raw talent, his instincts, all of these things that we’ve sort of tried to keep in check for his own success..”
In the video above, Thieriot shares how Padalecki, “a great friend,” brought such a “positive energy” to the CBS drama’s set. Padalecki in turn explains why he jumped at the chance to douse some flames alongside Thieriot.
Fire is not the only thing Camden fights, though, as previewed by cast member Stephanie Arcila, who plays Gabriela.
“He had this insane fight and stunt scene,” Arcila reports alongside footage of Camden’s cargo shorts-and-bare feet brawl. “He rehearsed for like a week, right? No, he rehearsed for like 10 minutes!”
Says Padalecki of guesting on Thieriot’s Fire Country, “Having the opportunity to be on-set, in his world, seeing him in his element professionally, has been pretty rad.”
