Fergie sparks remarriage rumours with wedding dress post
A recent Instagram post from the former Duchess of York had fans hearing wedding bells as they speculated about a possible remarriage to come.
Sarah Ferguson took to social media at the weekend to share a snap of herself posing with a bridal gown, and fans haven’t been able to help themselves, daringly wondering if Fergie and Prince Andrew may be headed back down the aisle.
On closer inspection, the post is clearly linked to a charity organisation, which the former Duchess praises lavishly.
“Brides do Good is a social enterprise that sells designer wedding dresses and donates up to two thirds of the proceeds to projects that provide safe education for girls,” she explains in the picture’s caption.
The worthy enterprise in question, is a pop-up boutique on a mission to end child marriage.
Cheeky fans, however, glossed over the charitable purpose behind the visit in order to pose some daring questions.
“Thought you might be tying the knot again for a second,” one fans confessed.
“Andrew will love seeing you walk towards him again in that dress,” another observed.
Others recognised the photo had nothing to do with Fergie’s former husband, but just came out with their well wishes regardless.
“Sarah get remarried to your Prince,” one fan urged.
“Wishing you and the Duke of York will remarry soon,” another said.
So, is remarriage actually a possibility?
Rumours of a reconciliation between Fergie and Prince Andrew have been swirling for some months, after she described her ex in the most loving terms last year.
“We both say it. We are completely compatible. Our bywords are communication, compromise and compassion,” she told the Daily Mail.
“[Our wedding on] July 23, 1986 was the happiest day of my life. Andrew is the best man I know. What he does for Britain is incredible; no one knows how hard he works for his country.”
More recently, Fergie joined the prince on an official royal trip to Bahrain, and it’s been said that the one thing that used to come between them – his dad Prince Philip’s disdain – has also faded with time.
The pair still live together, and Fergie has said, “Now our life together is the greatest ever.”
“This is our fairytale, and we’re telling it our way,” she told Modern Hero.
Fergie and Prince Andrew were famously married for 10 years before the couple formally divorced in 1986.
The pair are often praised for their supportive dynamic, regularly attending events together and always putting on a united front when it comes to their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.
Most recently the pair attended their daughter Eugenie’s wedding together, and are often spotted at events with their daughters.
She has also been open about her admiration for the ex-husband, recently posting to social media praising his performance at an entrepreneur pitching event in China.
