Fears for Paris Jackson amid reports of hospitalisation

Paris Jackson has denied reports she was hospitalised for self harm.

According to TMZ, the 20-year-old, who is Michael Jackson’s only daughter, was taken for medical treatment at the weekend in relation to an attempted suicide. However, Paris herself has responded to the story with a damning Tweet.

“F**k you f**king liars,” she wrote.

Meanwhile an unnamed source told People, “Paris had an accident this morning that required medical treatment. She is currently resting at home and doing fine.”

Local police have said they responded “for an ambulance attempted suicide” and that “the victim was transported to a local hospital”, however the exact details of what happened in the lead up to the call are unclear.

Concerns have echoed for Paris following the explosive allegations of child sexual abuse levelled at her famous father in the Leaving Neverland documentary.

Paris has remained relatively silent since the documentary’s release, with sources saying she has not watched it, and her only response on Twitter has been to tell fans to chill out and not to jump to conclusions.

Fans posted messages of support after photos emerged of her partying at Mardi Gras last week, with reports circulating that she had been on a “two-day bender” and gotten into a fight with her boyfriend.

Paris strenuously denied the latter on Twitter, saying she was photographed re-enacting a movie scene with her boyfriend for their friends’ entertainment, and they were mock arguing.

While Leaving Neverland is certainly a compelling – and in some parts extremely difficult – watch, there are some key aspects missing, including testimonials from Jackson’s former staff members, other young boys Jackson was associated with, Jackson’s own family, and the lengthy FBI investigation into the child molestation allegations.

Because of these omissions, the Jackson family, as well as many fans, have continually labelled Leaving Neverland “one-sided” and “biased”.

However the director, Dan Reed, has argued such omissions needed to be made in order to be able to focus on the specific stories of the two accusers.
