A Fashionably Refurbished Home in the Hamptons Lists for $6.1 Million
With daylight saving time finally having arrived this past weekend, we’re firmly in the mindset of spring—even if the weather isn’t fully cooperating yet. But some might be looking even further ahead, toward summer, and thankfully it’s not too late to snap up a Hamptons home in time for the high season.
This six-bedroom, six-bath property sits in the East Hampton neighborhood of Oyster Shores, just across the water from Three Mile Harbor, where you can jet around via boat, kayak, or paddleboard. It was designed by Blake Watkins, a local architect who has completed four projects in the area, where he also lives full-time with his family. Along with the home, Watkins has put together a furniture and design package of pieces sourced by himself, including his mother’s artwork. William Schumann of the Noble Black team at Douglas Elliman holds the $6.1 million listing.

The first floor is anchored by a double-height living area, with white oak paneling scaling up to the 20-foot ceilings. Nearby, the chef’s kitchen is built around a center island with seating for up to six. The dining space, meanwhile, has an adjacent wet bar with brass mesh cabinets and an under-counter wine fridge. Here, you’ll also find one of the guest suites, plus a full bathroom with outdoor access that allows it to double as a pool bath.

Walking upstairs via the custom staircase, a balcony leads you to the primary suite, which comes with its own lounge or office space. The bathroom, with both a glass-enclosed shower and a standalone soaking tub, is bathed in natural light from a skylight. And whether you’re staying in the primary bedroom or one of the floor’s other two rooms, everyone has direct access to the second-story terrace with glass railings.
The home’s lower level is where you’ll find the last two bedrooms, along with a media room and a gym/flex space. The bathroom here is outfitted with spa-like components, including a steam shower and a sauna. From down below, you can walk out to the travertine-tiled sunken courtyard, with a staircase leading to the backyard and a heated gunite pool.
