Vogue editor Anna Wintour has revealed she has never taken a selfie.

In an artfully staged interview posted online, the 64-year-old style icon answers 73 questions on topics as wide-ranging as her favourite book (Pride and Prejudice) to what she missed about Britain (the humour).

“What time did you wake up this morning?” is the opening question from the brave interviewer. Anna, who has been up since 5am, goes on to reveal she had ‘Starbucks’ for breakfast.

Fashion designer Oscar de la Renta phones in for a question, asking his friend about her favourite flower – the tuberose.

Thanks to a cameo from high profile model Karlie Kloss we learn that Anna prefers lace to leather, fur over velvet, new to vintage, and can’t choose between polka dots and stripes.

“What would you never, ever wear?” asks Karlie.

“Head to toe black,” comes Anna’s answer.

We also learn that the expat Brit loves avocado and coffee ice cream, hates broccoli, and doesn’t drink alcohol. She’s passionate about tennis, but hates horoscopes.

Despite presiding over a fashion world obsessed by social media, Anna closes out the interview with a polite refusal to take a selfie.

“I’ve never taken a selfie and I don’t plan to start now,” she says.
