"There's always this thing around 'do models really get on?' and I find with other girls we're friendly with - Behati, Candice - there's just this ease and understanding of each other's lives that no-one else has."

Lily agreed with her friend, who she's know since Rosie was 19 and moved into the same New York apartment building as her.

"I truly believe it's harder to be mean to people and to have that front up all the time," she said.

"It's much easier to be nice and positive; once you start being mean, you have to keep that up and it's exhausting and it drains your soul."

The Pinky Promise campaign has been created by Pink Hope to inspire and empower friends to get together and “make a Pinky Promise” to encourage and support their best friend when it comes to their health.

The pair's 12-page feature was shot on location at the Villa de Leon in Malibu by photographer Simon Upton and they also talk about their excitement at having girls' nights with Taylor Swift and how they're both each other's style crushes.

"Having Rosie and Lily’s support means we will reach best friends all around Australia, empowering and inspiring them to have each other’s back when it comes to health,” Krystal Barter, founder of Pink Hope, said.
