Nicole Trunfio Reveals Wedding Plans

Nicole Trunfio, Gemma Ward and Jessica Gomes are all successful international models in their own right – but the other thing they have in common is each other.

The Perth-born girls have been close since they were just 15 and starting out in the modelling world – and this week, they all grace the cover of Australian InStyle.

For Trunfio, Ward and Gomes are the two people she's closest to in the world - and the ones she wants front and centre at her upcoming nuptials to musician Gary Clark Jr.

“They were the first two people that I thought of — I couldn’t get married without them by my side,” Trunfio told the magazine of her decision to make them both bridesmaids. “I know they will always stand up for me.”

Trunfio joked that Ward is so over-protective she’s threatened to practice “kung-fu” on Clark if he messes up in any way.

“Gemma says she is going to give Gary the lowdown: that if he does anything to hurt me, she’ll do some sort of kung fu,” Trunfio said.

Gomes, who now lives in LA, credits the girls’ younger days with keeping them close.

“We were all in New York for about six years. I don’t think I would have moved if they weren’t there — being so young, it was very daunting. We became a little family. When we hang out I feel like we’re still 15-year-olds in Perth, giggling” Gomes added.

Trunfio, who was engaged to Clark in November 2014 (you can peep her engagement ring on the cover above), has been in serious wedding planning mode for the last year.
