When Donatella Versace’s your date for the Met Ball, you better believe she’s going to dress you in something skimpy.

After all, she’s known for her ultra-tight and overtly sexy collections.

Jennifer Lopez, who was the designer’s guest at this year’s event, both stunned- but certainly showed a lot of skin (nothing she’s not used to) - and was stunned.

“She sent me a sketch, and I was like, ‘I love it,’ and it was from the front and it was beautiful! It was like a dragon because the theme was “China: Through the Looking Glass” this year for the Met Ball,” the singer told Ellen Degeneres on her show, which aired Friday in the US.

“And then when I put it on I was like ‘Wow this side is really out.’”

The daytime television host noted that with so many sheer panels, wearing underwear without VPL was sheerly impossible.

Except, as Lopez explained, she wasn’t completely bare down there: “There is a undergarment for that, that has to do with stickiness, adhesion..But it looks good!”

With the rise of the nearly-naked dress (Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé at the same event are good examples of said trend), the lingerie industry has supplied solutions to be covered up while simultaneously uncovered.

Sure, going commando is totally an option (no shame there), but for those that like a little protection, options are available.

Skimpier than a G-string, silicon adhesive underwear stays put even without any straps.

As for bras, chicken cutlets have been around for a while now, offering anyone the opportunity to fully show off their back.
