The extravagant 'Aysha' wedding dress everyone is talking about

As more outrageous details of the 'wedding of the century' emerge, some crucial information has come to light about THAT dress.

Aysha Mehajer, the Wollongong girl turned glamour queen formerly known as April Amelia Learmonth, married Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer in Sydney's western suburbs on the weekend.

The extravagant ceremony included a $50 million wedding motorcade. And there are reports the couple underwent multiple cosmetic procedures before the big day including rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, anti-wrinkle injections and teeth veneers to ensure they looked their Hollywood best.

To match the fanfare, the former beautician – who converted to Islam six years ago – wore an intricately detailed one-off wedding dress by designer Natalie Georgys, quite possibly the most expensive dress ever made in Australia.

“Everything on her dress was crème de la crème, it was the best you could get your hands on,” Georgys told The Daily Telegraph.

Although the final sum has yet to be disclosed, the extravagant dress was made up from 22 kilograms of French lace, featured more than 2,000 crystals, and took a team of six dressmakers 10 days to make. In real time this gown would have taken over a year to finish.

Surprisingly the bride only ordered the dress on August 3, less than two weeks before her big day.
