Anna Wintour Wore A Hillary Clinton 2016 T-Shirt To Fashion Week

Hell has frozen over - Anna Wintour has appeared at New York Fashion Week wearing a $45 T-shirt.

But hold on, before we get carried away thinking that maybe sometime soon slouchy T-shirts will be acceptable in any social situation, Wintour was actually making a political statement with her choice of attire.

The longtime editor-in-chief of US Vogue took her front row seat at Michael Kors' A/W16 show, declaring her support for Democrat Hillary Clinton in the US presidential race by donning one of the designer's 'Hilary 2016' T-shirts.

The crew-cut, white, red and blue T-shirt is adorned with a picture of Hilary Clinton, under which three stars lie and her 2016 campaign slogan.

The shirt is just one of many designs being created to show support for Clinton in a series called the "Made For History" collection.

Tory Burch, and Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have also showcased their political designs, with slogans such as "Women's Rights Are Human Right" and another stating "Make Herstory".

"My support for Hillary is grounded on our long-standing shared belief in equality," Marc Jacobs told Vogue.com.

"I am proud to share this T-shirt as a champion for equal rights, for the progress we have made, and for the hope of continued progress with Hillary as president."

Wintour has been an avid supporter of Clinton for years, even chosing to feature her in a 10-page spread in the March issue of Vogue.

The series, titled "Will Hillary Clinton make history?" was shot by famed photographer Mario Testino.
