Amy Schumer Had A Cinderella Moment At The Critics' Choice Awards

Amy Schumer suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Critics' Choice Awards.

The 'Trainwreck' star - who stunned in a white floor length gown as she strolled down the blue carpet - was walking towards the stage to collect her gong for Best Actress in a Comedy when her shoe broke.

But ever the person to make light of a bad situation, the 34-year-old actress made a joke of the offending item before handing it to 'Blackish' star Tracee Ellis Ross.

Amy also used her acceptance speech to joke about her size as she strategically placed the award in front of her stomach, insisting it was the reason why she has to write her own material.

She told the audience: "I am plus-plus-size actress Amy Schumer. Thank you for this trophy, covering the reason I have to write my own [stuff].

"If you're an actress and you have this area right here, you have to write your own stuff if you want to get it made."

Meanwhile, Amy's stylist Leesa Evans previously revealed she sometimes opts to buy her own outfits for award shows.

She said: "A lot of the time, the loaner option isn't what [Amy] likes best, so she isn't going to settle on that.

"We make decisions in a simple way. We don't talk about what's current season or next season. We don't even care. We just choose the dress she looks and feels the best in."
