“For me it was a matter of getting into shape, both physically and mentally," she said.

"I had to work on what I was eating about three months before and then really step up the workouts about a month before.

"So for me that meant twice a day workouts. So doing pilates and something intense in the evening and then also doing a daily meditation routine.

"Yeah it’s not easy," she said.

This is Bridget's third year trying out for a spot on the coveted show, which is watched by millions around the world and attended by some of the most famous faces in the fashion industry.

She explained the lengthy process involved in the interview stage, which started with 300 girls and was quickly whittled down to 80 before the final few are decided on.

'You’re in your underwear, in front of a room full of people and cameras and then you’ve got to walk and you’ve got to talk to them and try and be personable with the judges," she said.

" You have to literally own it when you get up there and that’s I think the part for me that I’ve had trouble with in the past, so it was nice to get it this year."

Bridget will take to the stage on Wednesday to debut her Victoria's Secret angel wings.
