Yahoo Lifestyle 'Farmhouse Fixer' Fans Have a Lot to Say About the Show's Latest Renovation
Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin are back at work on season 3 of Farmhouse Fixer. The renovation duo has a passion for restoring old farmhouses in New England, but their latest episode took them in a different direction.
In the latest episode, "Saved by the Barn," Jon and Kristina take on a barn renovation. Unlike their typical projects, this barn is a new build. As Jon explained, "Kristina and I bring out the best of the old and the new for all of our clients." The homeowner began the construction on his own three years ago but soon got in over his head and faced permit delays.
The homeowners described their desire to have the family space serve as a workshop, party barn, book club nook, game area for their kids, and food storage area. They had $120,000 budget and 10 to 11 weeks to complete it.
While their typical old farmhouses come with their own challenges, this new build brought its own set of problems. Kristina explained, "We're not used to new builds." Jonathan said, "I absolutely love working on barns" and said getting to work on the new build was a "dream."
The homeowners were thrilled by the reveal. Jonathan shared a clip from the episode on Instagram and asked, "How did you like tonight's episode?" He was flooded with reactions from fans.
