Farmer Wants a Wife air date finally revealed
Farmer Wants a Wife is officially returning to Aussie screens on Sunday, July 26, Channel Seven has confirmed.
The reality show hasn’t been on our screens since March 2016, with the launch of the newest series delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Returning host Natalie Gruzlewski plays cupid once again as she brings together five new farmers - Alex, Harry, Neil, Nick and Sam - on their quest to find true love.
“I’m excited to be returning to TV for Farmer. It’s a privilege to be a part of the show and witness those special connections as they start to form. I’ve seen firsthand how this process can change lives and I can’t wait to get back into it,” she said at the time of the show relaunch announcement.
Based on a UK reality TV format, the show has produced 99 marriages and 225 beautiful farmer babies internationally. In Australia, over the first nine seasons there have been nine marriages and 20 babies.
The latest teaser trailer hints at a little bit of potential drama with two of the women falling for the same farmer.
Farmer Alex, 28, a sheep and cattle farmer from Cunnamullla, Queensland, proves to be a popular choice.
“I’ve never been in love before,” he revealed previously, seen asking his dad for advice in the clip.
“I’d hate to go through a whole life without finding love, and finding that special person who’s interested in being on the farm, and being out here, and being with me. I want a girl that’s full of surprises, that keeps me guessing all the time. I’m pretty open about my feelings and emotions – but not so much that I need to carry around a box of tissues or anything like that!”
