Fans Have Thoughts on Travis Kelce’s ‘Scholarly’ New Look
Travis Kelce arrived at SoFi Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs-Los Angeles Chargers game dressed to impress—and fans couldn’t help but notice there was something “scholarly” about his look.
The Chiefs tight end was filmed walking into the stadium on Sunday, Sept. 29, wearing baggy black pants, white sneakers and a white button-down shirt. He also wore a black jacket that featured a purple design and a pair of black-framed tinted glasses.
A news reporter with WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Mo., first shared the footage on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday afternoon. An X fan account that shares updates related to Kelce and his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, retweeted the video with a caption that announced, “Travis has arrived!! 🔥.”

Fans online overwhelmingly applauded Travis’ game-day outfit, with one person noting, “He looks very scholarly with the glasses.”
“He actually looks so good,” another fan tweeted, an opinion that was echoed on the social media platform by several others.
A few fans noted the NFL star had shaved the beard they’d noticed growing in recently, a detail one fan described as “🤔 interesting.” Meanwhile, the suave way he’d styled his hair for the day was met with praise.
“THE HAIR,” the same fan account tweeted alongside a screenshot of Travis taken from the video.
Travis’ hair was “looking fantastic,” another fan agreed.
Sunday’s game marks the Chiefs’ fourth matchup of the official 2024 NFL season, which the team kicked off earlier this month. The Chiefs headed into Sunday’s game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on a winning streak, with no losses reported yet this season. It’s a strong start for the defending Super Bowl champions, who are hoping to become the first team in NFL history to win a third consecutive Super Bowl at the end of this season.
